I wish I could go to Spain or somewhere in South America for a couple of months and immerse myself but for now, well, it's just me and the teacher and the few people I meet who know Spanish and are willing to speak it with me. Well, they speak, I mostly listenbernthishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05905337047538489562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699989418747859369.post-54263814673922942152008-12-23T07:21:00.000-08:002008-12-23T07:21:00.000-08:00You're a brave woman!PearlYou're a brave woman!<BR/>PearlPearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05261369905176088917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699989418747859369.post-28111317180561914712008-12-23T03:11:00.000-08:002008-12-23T03:11:00.000-08:00you are not alone! it sounds like you are doing g...you are not alone! it sounds like you are doing great. i hate it when i say something and i think it sounds perfect and i am met with a vacant stare, and then someone else says it - it will sound the same to me - and suddenly they understand. frustrating.lizzy-loohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01526503083217298544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699989418747859369.post-66619668553171218452008-12-23T01:27:00.000-08:002008-12-23T01:27:00.000-08:00The lovely thing about being in a country where yo...The lovely thing about being in a country where you don't speak the language, I have found, is how kind people generally are at trying to find out what you are attempting to communicate. More so here in Asia than when I was in Europe, but still. Funny how so many people in North America (and Scotland, come to think of it) will complain about foreigners not speaking their language, but here in Korea the majority are touched if I try hard, regardless of how bad I may be.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09215460807321949806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699989418747859369.post-34714414019024463912008-12-22T20:21:00.000-08:002008-12-22T20:21:00.000-08:00You are doing better than I would! I still don't know how to say "snap"... wait, I'll look it up... ha! Apparently my Italian-English dictionary didn't consider purse and garment attachement methods. Well, how about zipper... Good god! That's not in there either. Ok... strap... Ah HA! "tracolla". Oh, that's easy to remember... means "across neck"... cool.Christine Gramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13783180729146518061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5699989418747859369.post-81860915222411206072008-12-22T10:43:00.000-08:002008-12-22T10:43:00.000-08:00When i moved here to Mumbai i experienced some of ...When i moved here to Mumbai i experienced some of what you write about.
